In Ghana, a barber shop is anything from a posh salon, to one man, a wooden stool, and a pair of scissors, under a tree in the open.
You don't get to flick through issues of Black Hair Magazine. Instead, you look at the board and pick your style.
Style names can be taken from political, social and national events, popular music and loads of other influences.
The boards are made from plywood and are individually hand painted.
Basically they make me smile.
